Your session is a collaboration. Together we will create an experience where your life can be seen and photographed as the beautiful and complex work of art that it is.
Mothers are in a nearly constant state of creativity, whether we realize it or not. The way we show up in our homes, the environments we create, the meals we cook, the routines and rhythms we live by. It’s all deeply creative. I live it, I see it and I want to honor it with my photos.
Dads are there, too. Holding us up and taking on the type of mental load that I can't imagine, nor do I have the experience to speak to. They deserve to be seen and photographed too, just so we're clear.
2) We'll hop on the phone for a genuine conversation. We can dream over your session and answer eachother's questions.
1) Fill out the contact form on my contact page. I will respond to your inquiry within 48 business hours to schedule a phone call.
4) We plan your session. I’ll help guide you through timing, locations, activities and outfit ideas.
5) On the day of the session I’ll be present with you, directing as needed, getting creative while simultaneously documenting life as it is.
6) Within thirty days of your session you'll receive a proofing gallery to select and keep your favorite images. You will be able to order fine-art prints directly through my lab as well as heirloom photo albums.
3) You'll pay a 50% retainer and sign your contract to book your session. The remaining 50% will be due 10 days before your session.
All the times you’ve thought to yourself that you cannot possibly do this any longer, and yet you push through to find your new favorite memories waiting for you on the other side. The exhaustion you feel at the end of the day, and yet you still get on your hands and knees to wash your child's feet? I can’t think of anything more beautiful and worth remembering.
My faith in Jesus lays the foundation in how I…well, in how I am. In who I am. In how I serve and photograph others. Not putting my faith in the values section of my site feels cowardly. I saw a quote that said, “A Christian shoemaker glorifies God not by putting little crosses on his shoes, but by making very good shoes.” I am not sure who said that, but Amen.
A child’s ear-to-ear grin, the joy they find in the simplest of moments. The pillow forts, dinosaur roars, and curiosity. Children bring so much joy and color into our lives.
Motherhood asks us to practice surrender, letting go of expectations, tight schedules, and the need to control everything. I’ve learned that too much structure creates pressure, while flexibility allows more presence. That’s why your session isn’t bound by strict timing or a checklist. We’ll have a loose plan, ideas to guide us, but I’ll follow your family’s natural rhythm, giving your life the space to be seen and photographed.
The way you feel in the planning stages, the experience you have when I photograph you, and the way you receive the finished product. All of it matters to me and is done with care and intention. Human connection and serving people well will always come first for me.
